Slow

To download the new article: way faster Features in articles: very very very slow. I didnt mind waiting before. Im not sure if Im in the minority. I cant read the article or look at your high definition pictures. Its a flaw. Please fix it. Been a subscriber since the mid eighties. :)

Mr G

Doesnt work on my 1st gen iPad. I lost subscription downloads after almost each iOS update and it stopped working completely after iOS5 update came out. It starts and shut downs immediately. Dont want spend any money on any magazines on 1st gen iPad. This app claims should work on iOS 5 but it doesnt. Otherwise app is well designed and hope will work on other newer igadgets.

Crashes

Crashes immediately after opening.

Crashes

Crashes as soon as you launch it. Will cancel my subscription unless this gets fixed. Im using an IPad Air 2 with iOS 8.1.

Keeps crashing

Used to work fine but keeps crashing since iOS 8. Uninstalling it fixes it temporarily but it crashes the next time... MAJOR let down!

Crashes continuously!

Love the format and full screen photos but cant find any love for the never ending crashes. What are we paying for? Fix or refund!! Last updated Sept 16 2014 Six weeks later and its still useless but Road & Track is fine. Same f-ing publisher!!

Horrible App

I have been experiencing so many issues. Keeps crashing. Deleted and reinstalled the app and subscription to car and driver. Still crashes. I need a refund.

Im the only one!!

Im the only one to review!!

Doesnt work on iPad 1, iOS v5.1.1

I tried installing it over, also removing all apps from memory, and rebooting the iPad, nothing made a difference. This app starts and immediately crashes and quits.

Iphone 6+

Misleading update. This works on my 6+ but I still have black bars on the top and bottom.

Very Broken....for a while

This app has been very buggy for a while now, I just renewed a month ago and half the pages are blacked out and navigation is not very good. I am seriously thinking of asking a refund. Very frustrating...again.

Extra $

Both MotorTrend and Automobile Magazine offer digital free to print subscribers. Car&Driver and Road&Track make you switch permanently from print to digital only or buy the digital separately.

Difficult to restore previously purchased issues

Quite infuriating

Download Fails

Download stops in the midle and never starts again. It even freezed iPad once up to hard reboot.

Good but could be better

I enjoy the app, just not on an iPhone.

Do you like PDFs?

This used to be the best magazine all out there. Interactive, videos, etc and formatted perfectly for the iPad. Now, you get a PDF of the magazine. Poor format to the iPad screen. Please go back or I unsubscribe.

Move along nothing to see here

Great magazine, excellent articles, overall a great read definitely five stars. Unfortunately this app is at the other end of the spectrum. The developers decided the magazine was so good they only needed to replicate it page for page in the iPad version. This includes no ability to select text, click on a link, get definitions or share on social media. Car and Driver is a great magazine and it deserves a great app but this isnt it. Save your money and extend your subscription to the magazine, dont waste it on this pathetic development effort.

Lazy PDF of a once great magazine app.

Car and Driver prompted my obsession with cars, technical specs, and science; unfortunately this mobile app is prompting my hating the magazine. What was once a fully scaled, interactive means of reading a magazine Ive read since elementary school is now bottom-of-the-barrel work. The worst part is that I just renewed my subscription a month before interactive features were removed. Hachette Filipachi is only accelerating blogs takeover of automotive journalism. This app means even the publishers have given up...

Buyer Beware

This app is pretty terrible, as it seems to be just a PDF viewer (for the magazine) and a web viewer (for all other functions, such as account status, help, etc.)—and a poor one at that. I purchased a digital subscription direct from Hearst (not through the App Store), and I have so far been able to access only two of the last four issues. The app is now acting as if I have no subscription even though I do have one and have logged in. The FAQs and help resources, both in app and on the web, leave a lot to be desired and are very out of date, mentioning iOS 7 (almost 3 years old at this point) and Newsstand (which no longer exists).

Review

This app is well sorted out ,and it does not lack content.
